Bashir Mukwaya is a passionate social impact leader, seasoned Accountant, and data enthusiast with a strong dedication to transforming the lives of Uganda’s most vulnerable communities. He serves as the Executive Director and Founder of The Bash Global Initiative Limited; a Ugandan non-governmental organization focused on creating sustainable livelihoods and driving lasting change among marginalized populations.

Bashir holds an Honors Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Accounting from Makerere University under the Makerere University Business School. He brings over four years of professional experience in accounting, having worked as an Accountant with the Health Supply Implementation Project (HSIP), a PEPFAR (U.S President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief)-funded initiative supporting healthcare systems in Uganda and other African countries.

During the global COVID-19 pandemic, Bashir spent three years under lockdown, which sparked a profound interest in data and its potential to drive informed decision-making and development outcomes. This led him to pursue and complete a Master of Science in Business Data Analytics at Heriot-Watt University in the United Kingdom.

With a renewed vision and a deep desire to give back to his community, Bashir returned to Uganda and established The Bash Global Initiative Limited. Under his leadership, the organization focuses on empowering vulnerable groups by expanding access to education, healthcare, clean water, food, and other critical resources. Bashir believes in building resilient communities through data-driven approaches, grassroots engagement, and strategic partnerships with NGOs, government bodies, and international stakeholders.

His leadership style is rooted in integrity, inclusiveness, accountability, and a deep commitment to social justice. Through his work, Bashir continues to inspire a generation of socially responsible citizens and community leaders who are equipped to shape a more equitable and sustainable future for all.
